I was up in Oneonta, NY a few weeks ago and I stopped into The Oneonta Coin Company, a really fine local shop with a friendly proprietor. Bought a few odds and ends........
Your camera is tilted with respect to the coins - all of them are in focus at the top and out of focus at the bottom. And that clip is fantastic! That is a perfect Blakesley, especially on the reverse!
Is the '41 quarter an odd, or an end? I still say the reverse of the GWC/BTW half is even uglier than the obverse of the SBA. I think it's the worst single side of any coin the U.S. Mint has ever produced. That map is halfway between horrendous and ridiculous.
Fantastic idea for a new thread. Because as much as I hate this reverse, there are some that are far worse.
I think the ugliest coins Ive seen for the US were the IKE dollar. I feel about the same for the UK Churchhill crown coin.
