Those obverse stars on the Morgan definitely aren't right, even in sloppy photos like these. Also suspicious how he can get pretty sharp images of the other coins, but can't quite seem to get that Morgan into focus, darn phone cameras...
Thanks for your observations. I also noticed the stars didn't look right. Yes, the photos are conveniently fuzzy. I noticed that the rim looks thick on the reverse side and yet thinner on the obverse side. I don't know if that is a problem or not, but just something else I noticed.
I noticed something else. The two photos above are of PCGS Graded 1878 S Morgan Dollars. One is a VF and the other an AU. Notice the lines on the birds lower leg/ankles, I have them circled. The questionable 1878 S from the seller's 2nd auction that you posted photos of doesn't have these lines.
Temu has been advertising fake Morgans for a few months now on Facebook in their intrusive ads. You know they are fake simply because of pricing of raw silver. Eventually they'll find their way onto Ebay by unsuspecting buyers reselling there. There is one company that is just as disgusting if not worse. Every one of their silver dollars look like they've had their defects filled with wood putty, sanded, and then caulked over with granny's silverware polish. The seller is Morgan Dealer. EVERY SINGLE ONE of their coins. And yet, people still keep bidding on them.
