Just got this one, used to belong to my Father in Law who passed away years ago, he worked on planes for the military years ago. Nothing expensive, actually looks like a freebie issue but I like it, I'll use it when I remember! Anyone here use one, post a pic if you want!
Nice. Here's a money clip my aunt gave me. She bought a brand new 1951 Pontiac and they gave her this money clip with silver dollar in it. The slogan was "Dollar for Dollar You can't beat a Pontiac". She said that most of those who bought one just popped the dollar out and threw the clip away. She gave hers to me and knew it would be in the family forever. I gave it to our son who is a Pontiac lover.
Mine WAS just a clip, no seals or monograms or badges, just shiny metal. Oh, by the way, it never would accept a $100 bill either. LOL
I have the Walking Liberty money clip, which I don't use, and a magnetic one, that is failing me, so this is what I use now. Get a load of that serial number. Story of my life, just missed it! LOL
Isn't that really inconvenient? Having to zero your optics every time you go to the range can burn through some seriously expensive ammo in these times. Edit: oh yeah, nice setup.
It's not the best pic but here's my custom built "money clip" Bad thing is it drops money 800yds away everytime I use it lol.
Close, it's 7.62x54R. It's a heavily modified M-44 to reduce recoil from back in my competition shooting days.
Those rounds are very expensive, especially in the noncorrosive. Every time I take one of my military weapons out in the back yard to shoot all I see is dollar signs going up in smoke.
It's not too horrible compared to some things I've owned. It's dialed in for 180 grain JSP rounds that run about $2.00-$2.25 per round
I just got 500 of them, under $1 each. Not too bad. My collection is mostly all military. I can't get good prices on .303 and 30-06. And I wish I could get some reasonable 30-30.
Yeah I think it's the 163 grain FMJ will run you about $0.93 per round. But they're illegal to hunt with and banned on a lot of ranges. Maybe it's my set up but my grouping consistency goes out the window with the lighter grain. Better range but less accuracy. 30-06 are pretty common around here and run about $22 for a box of 20rds. 30-30 though are pretty hard to come by.
Oh yeah, it's 148, lol. I think those are the Tula rounds? Pretty sure the 163 grain is a 30-06. It's hard to keep track sometimes lol
