Hello! I’d appreciate any help CT members can provide with this provenance puzzle. I’m writing to ask if any CT member can point me in the right direction to identify the Munzen & Medaillen AG sale from which the following Constantius II siliqua came. Constantius II AD 337 – 361 siliqua, AD 355 – 361, Sirmium mint (20mm, 3.23 g) Rev D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG pearl diademed, draped cuirassed bust right Obv VOTIS XXX MVLTIS XXXX in wreath. In exergue .SIRM. RIC 66, RSC 342-3i Although this coin is common and quite undistinguished, I can track provenance to Alex Malloy’s sale 51 (lot 546 in December 1998). The coin came with this tag from Munzen & Medaillen AG, which has a “9” written on the front. The “546” sticker came from Malloy. I know its unlikely after all of these years, but can anyone suggest how I might trace from which MMAG sale this tag and my coin came? Thanks for your consideration.
