Could this quarter be missing a clad in it's reverse. Sending pics of both sides plus a side by side comparison with ata quarter one year older. Would scales help with this? Yes weighing it on a gram scale accurate to 2 decimal places would be ideal.

Agree, it's only environmental damage, not a missing clad layer. If you ever find a missing clad layer, it will be obvious

    Environmental Toning.
Missing clad layer would reveal a more coppery looking appearance.

Suggestion.. Always review your thread title before hitting the Create feature. Your title states Class instead of Clad.

But it's a simple fix.. Underneath your title is states Thread Tools. Open that up then hit Edit Title. Then save the new title.

Kelly they did make silver quarters in 1994 but they were proof and have an s mint mark. Yours is a D and so out of luck there. Most likely as the good folks above stated it is just PMD.

No need to comment as most above are correct. It is just discoloration from time and environment.

Opened this. Was going to call on @cpm9ball to show you a unique missing clad layer. It doesn’t get any better. Missing clad layers ain’t as pretty as this Kennedy. But a great example
