mis-shapen O on 85 D pennyThought Id post it for

    when I first saw this odd shaped O in the ONE I thought the coin was bent but I dont think so now. the coin looks in prtty good shape, no obvious major damage. The Blanchet seems to vary in thickness but I could ba wrong. I cant get a good photo of the different thickness. Also the O only looks misshapen from some angles. Thought Id post it. Thanks for any help. by the way is it Blanchet or Planchet

    It's just a worn die strike issue.
    The correct word is Planchet.

    I agree worn die you would think the mint would no when to pull a worn out die.LOL
