I've ordered from them and they are legitimate BUT do not always have in stock what you order. I ordered a bunch of proof sets and after a couple of weeks with no updates began emailing them. They replied that they had to acquire the sets to fulfill my order. I was not pleased and as such, will think long and hard before I order from them again.
So this brings up an interesting segway. Now let's talk about the companies that are less than stellar experiences and maybe should stay away from. Every vendor has its faults, like mintproducts, but it also has lots of positive upside. Demand for bullion is way up, which would explain why once outstanding companies such as mintproducts have been selling out of stock. In the grand scheme, not exactly a bad thing.
I made my first order from mintproducts.com this last Wednesday. I purchased a tube of Canadian Moose and a tube of 2012 ASE's. Their prices seem very competitive. Today they called me to verify that I actually made the purchase, as she said, they have seen an uptick in fraud. I wonder if this has led to slower order processing? Once I verified that I did in fact make the purchase she confirmed that they would ship early next week. I then asked her if they would ensure the Moose coins had no "milkspots" and she said they don't like to break open the mint tubes and I said I understand. She then finished by saying if there are any problems with the coins that I can return with them with no hassle. So far I am impressed with the company and I have high expectations for the quality of the coins thye select and ship out. If they are good quality I will most definitely order with them again. I don't mind slow shipping if it means I get the best coins out there. Plus their competitive prices make it worth it as well. I will update this thread once I receive my coins.
Well I received my cins today everything was in excellent condition, EXCEPT THE SILVER EAGLE! It has this HUGE scratch on the reverse that stretches from the E in Silver to the D in Dollar. Im not exagerrating when I say that its HUGE. Obviously noticeable and was the first thing I saw when I went to inspect it. But I was stupid enough to put it in the air tite that I ordered for it before I realized I should proably send an email to the company to try and get it replaced. Now Im just waiting for a reply. It better not take forever to get a response from them like it did to receive the coins.
I won't mention names but a dealer who advertises regularly in the trades (Coin World et al) offering "Quality Coins" screwed me on some Newfie fishscales about 30 years ago and I haven't dealt with him since.
i ordered from them about a month and a half ago. they didnt ship out my items for 2 weeks because they needed to call my bank to verify that that was my adress? i got my coins about a week later exactly what i ordered. they are a great company but they are a tad bit slow on shipping lol
Has anybody read their Terms and Conditions page ? http://www.mintproducts.com/terms-amp-conditions.html They tell you up front that some orders will be delayed.
I received my tube of 2012 ASE's and tube of Canadian moose today from MintProducts. While it took longer, compared to others, the coins were absolutely perfect and worth the wait. There are no milkspots on the Moose coins. I will definitely order from them again. I am okay with the wait as I want perfect bullion and these are perfect.
