Mint or environmental punched out "R" in TRUST?

    Post-Minting Damage, as well as the circular
    wheel marks from a counting machine.

    Nice eye Mr Wright!

    I was thinking wrongly that it got "snagged" on something and tore off. Reminds me of 7th grade when a kid decided to slide across the shower floor after football and neglected to take into account the little metal drain cover in which he slid over. Kind of the same...kid left with "less material" then he came in with. Pretty sure he has no children 30 years later.
