Mint Error?

    I found this specimen while hunting a Loomis box. I'm split between a defective planchet and after mint damage. Thoughts? [​IMG][​IMG]

    It's kinda hard to tell anything for sure with those small pics.
    Are you sure it isn't just something caked on the coin?

    Yeah, sorry. Was hoping to avoid breaking out the microscope. Here's some more detail.

    I think the obverse is PMD, but the crevices in the reverse remind me of a defective planchet.

    this looks like what some folks calls a parking lot coin where vehicles has ran over it.
