Shoot. Had a bit of catching up to do. I was out of town for practically the whole month of June. My sister-in-law made the untimely act of succumbing to life on earth. The wife is still broken up about it. Why? I'll never know. The two never got along.

Take your blinders off and read some of the old threads. Hardly a week goes by where some newcomer is all set to submit their minor variety or error for grading. Would this happen if you and others were honest and just said that it is fun to search for them but they are not worth much?

Earlier, Tommy mentioned that he sold 200 die cracks for $40. He even went so far in stating......

No offense, Tommy, but this doesn't tell me that you said they weren't worth much, either!

Hmm,Hmm,...clearing throat. This is about my thread, not old threads. Nothing in this thread started by me says to submit any of my "found" varieties for grading. Please do not put words in my mouth. Tool box open? Cause I am starting to see a big one. I think I was pretty clear in the title that they were minor.

But you haven't answered my questions to you. Wexler? Coin World? I guess not. In the end your opinion, knowledge is not equal to theirs.

And of course there are other rewards while searching those dime boxes. Some really good/great clashes and silver. Now Chris, ya gonna poop on a silver find?

Thanks Pickin but I have updated it as it goes. There are some listening threads that could be years old.:)

You're the one who tagged me in the first place! You know darn good and well that your sole purpose for this was intended to get a "dig" in because you know how I stand on the subject of people who like to boast about their discoveries without explaining to the newcomers that they're not worth submitting for grading. So, you want to brag about Wexler and Coin World? Why don't you get them to offer an opinion about value? Maybe it would prevent a few newcomers to the hobby from making some costly mistakes. Nah! You wouldn't do that, would you?

Now, you're changing the subject when you know I'm right. That figures!

Wexler basically set the price guidelines for the values of the errors I have mentioned (DDR's/DDO's) so I have priced mine along those guidelines based on grade plus adding in my costs from ANAC's. I would never advertize any of them as rare, unique or the like but I do add "Best of Variety" to my listings based on his site. The price I set on the lots of 100 minor die cracks and chips was basically trying to cover my costs of 2X2's, mailing supplies, a little of my time, etc. but again I would never over blow my descriptions, especially to take advantage of newbies or anyone else. They are good learning tools and a couple of coin clubs have ordered many of these lots to hand out to their members, offer as door prizes, etc. It's fun for me, it's fun for someone else I guess, never had any complaints. But to everyone listening...they are not rare and not worth a lot of money (unless in very high grades, but they are a lot of fun). @cpm9ball, I would never take offense, I have too much respect for you and everyone here who have knowledge that far surpasses mine.

Sorry to hear of anyone's loss. I lost my brother in law three weeks ago and did not get along with him for years, but for my sister's loss, I grieve, they were inseprable.

You don't have to justify yourself to me, Tommy. I respect you, too! It's just that threads like this attract all kinds. Some who really need help and some who........well........let's just leave it at that.

My purpose was not to get a dig in but who knows the real workings of ones own mind. To be honest, I tagged you to see if I could actually, just one time get a like out of you. You know personally how hard "searching" is and I was hoping you could at least one time give a pat on the back, good job, that a boy....just a little encouragement goes a long ways. Just not in some peoples nature I guess.

I do promise you though that I will never tag you again my brother. Will of course continue reading your posts/replies. Be well friend.
