In mine collection: Domitian RIC II part 1 Titus 310, aVF/F, Rome mint 14.3g Orichalcum dupondius, Obverse: CAESAR DIVI AVG VESP F DOMITIAN COS VII, laureate head left AVG, Reverse: Concordia seated left, patera in right, cornucopia in left. They say very rare
Many Domitian coins have wonderful portraits and this is no exception. I like the reverse as well. Very nice coin overall.
Nice coin overall, but I like the obverse more : the engraving and facial expression are wonderful, even though the lad wasn't as good as he looks here (kind of "Titusish" portrait) Q
RO, It's one I would love to have---so many choices, too little time and never enough of a budget for all I crave LOL. Presently, my only Domitian is a denarius, apparently minted about 90-91 AD, with a Diety standing left holding a thunderbolt and spear with shield at feet (Minerva?):
Wow, ro1974 => that coin has great eye-appeal (tough lookin' coin, my friend) ... Yah, I absolutely adore coins that look like they've been around the block, but have managed to make it back home successfully!! great addition
