Milk spots?

    I hate to ruin your day but there is no way to remove milk spots. Found a lot on Franklin and early silver Keneddy Halves. They're formed from the mint not thoroughly washing of the soap used to clean the dies. When the coins are pressed with the very high pressure used, the soap is literally pressed into the metal. Outside of melting the coin, there's no way of separating the soap from the metal. Rick Tomaska of Randlcoins has written several books on Franklin Halves and explains it in detail, but this was the short of it. Actually becomes part of the metal, Amazing!
