    All normal.
The 1946 seemed to be in nice condition.

Tough crowd here sometimes. Tougher on newer collectors sometimes too. Don't sweat it. Now you know. :)

    Hey-

The fact that you found a couple wheat pennies is cool on its own. Some even look to be in great condition!

Any day that you find old coins in circulation is a good day. Thanks for sharing the box with us.

Just remember that Proof is not a grade. It is a method of manufacture.
A proof coin can be any grade. Yes most are high grades, but not all.
Proof coins will almost always look different from regular coins. Different in a good way.

Not proofs, as others have said, but definitely in better condition than most coins that age. It looks like someone cashed in a collection, and you were lucky enough to get them. Great find!

For comparison, here are two proof cents from the time period.

Notice the reflective fields (background) and exceptionally sharp details.

Thank you... I didnt know too much how proofs look.... But thats exactly what i thought. That it was somebody's collection. I had been looking for 2017p and found it in this box. I found a lot of coins in great condition. I found 11 wheats.... Heres a beautiful one. 20190117_174842.jpg 20190117_174911.jpg

I agree. Nobody knows it all and I've quite a long way to go myself. Others here bury me with what they know and I've actually learned a great deal since I first started collecting. Still, I know quite little compared to some in here.
