As to world coins I'm not sure of exactly when but there is an internatioinal coin show at that Rosemont Convention Center once of twice a year. I'm not a world coin collector and I made the mistake of going there one time and WOW was there the dealers from everywhere. I asked for US coins and most dealers told me they were not even allowed to display US coins there. Those people are really something. As to this show and others, yes there are always dealers with foreign coins available. The Country side coin show always has a few dealers with other country coins. Same with the Itasca show. Not sure of the Lamont coin show.
In this Illinois area near Chicago there are coin shows on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Sundays of every Month all year long.
As to YN's. There are quite a few on the PCGS web site. One of them even tried to have PCGS make a separate forum just for YN's. Many of them communicate with each other via PM's or emails and two of them formed a coin store.

Even at the smallest shows I've been to, there've been at least a couple of tables with an interesting selection of world coins. I've not been to Mid America, a bit out of the way for me, but at such a large show I imagine you'd have more things to look at than you have time to look at them.
