OK we are finally at the end. 4 posts. Season 1 2016 I started in June, but I was going almost every day and it took a while before I figured out WTH I was doing even though I did it in the mid 90's in Colorado. 5 halves somehow I pulled 2 golds 18 dollar coins and 18 silvers. The first photo was the first silver I pulled in NM, so that was exciting. 1.jpg
This is Disney Sterling (Aristocats) almost 1/2 ounce.

    My first half in NM.

And then the next day I got a half and a dol coin.

    First ring in NM.

OK this was interesting. I had this ring in my junkers pile. I was mailing a bunch of the nicer looking costume jewelry to a friend, and when I pulled this out, I could see that it was made REALLY well. The stone is (amethyst?) it changes color, sometimes it looks purple and other times green which doesn't seem possible. While it doesn't look like it in the photo, I was able to find a very faint 925 so we had it tested and it came back real. They don't do gold there but they thought the bezel might be but I checked it with my loupe and I am confidant it is not. I went through my jar of junkers and found one other small bent crappy looking ring that was also .925.

    Season 1 2016 part 2/4.
This photo is not great, it is the giant chain in the 2nd photo in the center.
Almost 2 ounces. I didn't test it, it is stamped .925, and I checked the seller online, Piercing Pagoda, and the net says it should be real.

This was stamped 14K. But it was really dirty and I just wasn't able to clean it at all. I took it to my gold guy who said it was fake, some brass and copper, but it cleaned it with nitric oxide and it looks great. He cleaned one other piece I have a bracelet stamped 14K but it's brass, but after he cleaned it with the nitric acid, it looks great.

Here are the 2 fake 14K Italy stamps and then the bracelet.

Now this was very exciting, besides the 2 dol coins, my first gold ever. I wasn't sure because of the color but my gold guy tested it and offered me cash immediately. I didn't sell. I thought perhaps it was mixed with titanium, but he said it was probably just some pot metal.

Was this at park? Everything is so clean. All I usually find is old and dirt cans and bottlecaps. Oh, and a skeleton key.

Found nothing at one big site except this silver ear cuff.
    20.jpg
The cross isn't stamped, it's a homemade job but it's silver.

These 2 chains are silver and one of the charms.

A gold and a silver. The gold was at the same location as the 1st gold.

When I found this broken watch I thought it was junk and almost threw it away. When I got home and looked with my loupe, Seiko Japan the back and the band are silver. 1 troy ounce. 2 dollar coins as well. Not the same site.

I must have skipped this one. 925 RL China. Ralph Lauren, plated gold and prob sold as gold in China but it's silver and heavy. Thanks for bearing with me.

Sal, the big silver chain was at a park in Santa Fe. Still in the wood chips underneath some exercise equipment. It wasn't buried in the dirt.

I went out for the first hunt of 2026 Season 11, and it was disappointing.
Things slow down in the winter but I expected a little better. I have a box of knives in the garage. Too bad I can't spend the 2 pound coin.
