Only broke even on the gas. But on the plus side I hadn't found a half in forever, and I had a spill with 2 halves, a dollar coin and a quarter. I've never found more than 1 half in 500 hunts. SpillB.png day481.JPG

Scrounger. Only used 1 gallon, so the gas expense was OK. The chain is stamped 925 but I think it's fake. day482.JPG

How old is the site? Maybe go back for deeper quieter targets? What machine are you using?

These are relatively recent drops. I use an inexpensive Bounty Hunter.
All of the old park grounds here are detected out.

I am up to 151 dollar coins. 1 from 2000 and all the rest from 2016-date. There are a few cool ones. 3 Ike dollars, (four 2001 D Sacagaweas slightly lower mintage) two 79-S Susan B's, two 2009-Ds (Spread of the 3 Sisters) but a couple of cool NIFC's, 2003-P Sacagawea AU/MS 3 million minted and a 2017-D Sequoyah Native America Dollar 1.5 million minted.
On the halves I have 35, 1 from 1995 and the rest 2016- present. Before my recent glut of scores, 2 a couple weeks ago and 1 today, it had been over 2 years since I found one. There's only 1 great one, which I will get to. I have a few lower mintage dates, 89-D, (2)84-D, 81-D, 93-P, 98-P, 99-D, 83-D, 96-D but the best one is the one I found 2 years ago before the dry spell. I was hoping to hit a 40%er one day,
    but I pulled a 1958-D Franklin.

I see the smirky face, I am going to assume you are kidding, as they are all ED (environmental damage, rust.)
For coins to be on the wrong planchet, the planchet needs to be smaller than the coin, not larger. Coins are not printed.

Good thing I checked my rig before I left because I had a broken wire. Good hunt. Having a problem with photos and paint in Windows 11. Why is everything superior before they change it? I think the ring is silver I got a good tone and the patina looks right, I will test it. 100_9216.JPG day485.JPG

I stop by my old house. The removed everything in the front yard that I spent 22 years working on. Rose bushes, peach trees, birds of paradise, Spanish brooms, chamisas, rosemary, trees. All gone nothing there.

Made a scooch over my gas. I did find 2 Zitkala-Sa quarters which just came out Oct 28. I have only seen 2 Dr. Mary Edwards Walker's and I haven't seen any Celia Cruz which came out in August. Last August (2023) they released the Jovita Idar and I have only seen 5 of them prob all from rolls.
