More than 1 hunt. I saw a peacock crossing the road last week. Picked up a wheatie and had a 30 penny cluster spill. The butterfly ring says 925 and I have other pieces that are gold plated over silver, but this is junk. The cross looks nice but it's also not real. We'll test them anyway just to make sure.
I was surprised. I didn't get a good signal and it didn't have the right patina. But I'm no expert obviously.
Towards the end I pulled a 1943 20 centavos and a silver religious medal. I got a good signal, it's stamped and my GF works with jewelry and says she can tell it is real. (Lots of religious fakes.)
I haven't read this thread before and due to it being started so long ago, jumped to the last page for recent entries. I'm not going to spend the time now to read the other 36 pages, but it would be nice if posters would let us know where they are finding these items. State, city, park, etc. More details like the type of equipment used would also be appreciated. If this is all covered someplace else, forgive me.
Nice to get some treasure. Sterling ring, dollar coin, stainless steel ring, only used a gallon of gas.
Well the W's are only on 2019 and 2020. They are not on 2021. I have been hoping to pull one, haven't yet. I have 3 from CRH. Pulled some stainless steel rings lately, they are beating the tungsten.
I was doing OK, a little short of what I predicted with 2 spots left when I hit this at the penultimate spot. I have 12 shots at a W, top 2 rows. I haven't checked yet. But you will know if I got lucky.
Decent hunt. 2nd target Sunday a dollar coin. Only used 3/4 of a gallon of gas. The ring is stamped 925, it's fake but we'll test it. The ring is made in China and it claims to be gold plated over silver. But I doubt it.
