When I found this, I thought it was a junker. But when I got home and read the back with my loupe, it was made in Japan, the band and the case are sterling (.925 silver) and the whole thing weighs a troy ounce. You never know. So many times when I find something I think is real, it is fake. And when I think something is fake, it's often a pleasant surprise.

Got a good signal on the duck, but it has to be steel it's very solid. There's no jewelry attachment for it. I've got almost all the old Monopoly pieces.
Dog, race car, wheelbarrow and hat.
The ring says 18K HGE ESPO. Heavy gold electroplate, Esposito (designer).
I am looking at the finds and I thought the nickel was old, some times it's just dirty.
    Very exciting.

I found this 2 years ago. I didn't get a good tone so I had it in with a pile of junkers. I was looking at it recently, and it seems to be well made, and I could faintly see a .925 stamped inside. I still thought it was fake because I have fake stamped silver and gold pieces. GF took it to a place (she makes jewelry) to have it tested along with 2 from last week that weren't stamped, and they all came back good. I don't know what the stone is, when you look at it in natural light with the naked eye it appears red or purple, but when you look through the loupe with light it's green.

Nothing exciting today, although I did hit a 7 quarter coin spill.

Old record was 5 (quarters in the same spot), but that was the highlight of the day for sure.

The closest I've got to that was when I dug a dime and still got a signal, there was a cent about 3 inches to the left of the hole lol

Dug up a dollar coin one time and a quarter was sitting on top of it.
Wasn't in the same hole but my best was 3 Sacagaweas all in the same little area.
There was also another quarter or two which I thought was another dollar.

I wonder how coins turn up like that. I mean when I drop even quarters I pick them up.But several dollars? Someone must have fell or something. I'm thinking of all the ways and it's kinda crazy, could have been a hole in a pocket, anything.
