    I tried to get permission to parks here in Maryland - nothing allowed!!! My Minelab sits idle except when I go to the ocean on vacation.

    Correct. Must be renewed every year. No big deal.. We just go to the Parks Department office in early January and fill out the new application. It's free.

    Good finds. I have 2 metal detectors and haven't had a chance to use them in a very long time.
