    Hello everyone,
    Yesterday I worked overtime at my job until noon. I was so anxious to get out and do some metal detecting. I went to one of my favorite parks in NYC and found a Bucket List item!

    The horse shoe has as much or more history than the quarter. That is a shoe for a draught or draft horse. you can tell by the cleat on the shoe. They were used for a pulling horse as for plowing or pulling a cart. It is definitely a horse shoe and not a mule shoe which is more narrow than wide. Cool finds.

    WAIT A COTTON PICKING MINUTE! Not a word about the pistol now hanging in the tree above the horse shoe? WTH? It don't look like no cap gun, so what's up with that?

    Oh yeah, the quarter . . . I'd put it back as it looks "cleaned" to me. LOL

    Well you said it was a cap gun so I took it at Face Value. LOL :D

    Doesn't really look like a cap gun.
