Holy Moley Ed!!! I almost died when I found this one year. You must be still in Ahhh!!! Great condition also. No telling the ones that are still there. Good Luck on the current year! Looks like things are looking up!
@paddyman98 Ohh , I'm sorry. You don't believe in Luck just Prayer to and from the "Man" above. Many prayers and hopes of a great season MD'ing and hopefully fishing. Way to go!
Indeed, a fun find! But you've been working for it for awhile so, the spoils go to you. Ground is softening up and ready to release its treasures!
Congratulations are definitely in order Paddy! That Seated Quarter is in great shape and a fantastic find. You should be on cloud 9 all day today!
The horse shoe has as much or more history than the quarter. That is a shoe for a draught or draft horse. you can tell by the cleat on the shoe. They were used for a pulling horse as for plowing or pulling a cart. It is definitely a horse shoe and not a mule shoe which is more narrow than wide. Cool finds.
WAIT A COTTON PICKING MINUTE! Not a word about the pistol now hanging in the tree above the horse shoe? WTH? It don't look like no cap gun, so what's up with that? Oh yeah, the quarter . . . I'd put it back as it looks "cleaned" to me. LOL
Well you said it was a cap gun so I took it at Face Value. LOL Doesn't really look like a cap gun. Better photos..... more to the story?
Nice find! It came out of the ground in great condition. Hopefully it is the start of many great finds for the year.
