    Hello everyone,
As some of you may know I was away at South Carolina for a mini vacation and Metal Detecting event. All went well. Soon I will be posting more about it.

But today I want to tell that I won a new Metal Detector!

In one of the scheduled events we had to detect a field loaded with seeded silver coins and clad dimes with a number counterstamped into them.
I found 42 Silvers and 1 clad dime.. #19 :woot:

When the event was over they called out the numbers for the winners to receive different prizes. #19 was a Brand new Garret Apex Jase Robertson (Duck Dynasty) Signature edition with Duck Call. This detector is not even out in the market yet and it's valued at close to $600.00 :hungry:

I assembled it yesterday and detected for 2 hours. Found $1.86 in US Coins and 5 Wheat Cents.
    And an old copper heart.

Another guy I met named Jon also won a Garret AT Max Jase Robertson Signature Edition metal detector. Also not available for sale at this time.

These detectors were donated by Garrett to the event to be awarded

Duck call? Are ducks natural metal detectors - like truffle-hunting pigs/dogs?

    Cool stuff!

Sweet prizes. Congrats on landing one.

I wonder if the call can be used for pigeons aka NYC ducks ;)

Sweet. I knew you'd walk away with some goodies.
Now, the big test is to use your old detector over the same ground you used the new detector and see how good it really is.
Oh, is the bird call for turkeys?

Nice finds!!! @paddyman98. Also, making friends is what you do the best as seen in some of your photo's from the hunt. Did you go to the dinner and how was it?? :)

It'll be interesting to see which one you grab for most often. Either way you can always bring a buddy.
