    I been meaning to tell you this @paddyman98 ... My old dog had surgery two weeks ago so he comes to work with me every day during his recovery. That means I have to walk him three times a day across the concrete jungle to a lot so he can do his business. That lot is also a parking lot for a workout/gym joint. Every day I find change in that lot. Just thinking that the pockets in workout garb must not hold pocket change very securely. Might want to go work some gym parking lots as an aside if the hankering strikes you.

    @Randy Abercrombie
    Yes.. After many years of detecting beaches and parks I have noticed that there are alot of good finds at or near the workout areas!
    I have found jewelry, coins and cellphones. The people doing their exercises at these areas lose stuff all the time.

    I'm curious to know what signal the convertible gave you? Is it all metal?

    The body is metal.. it was a weird signal. I dig almost everything!

    I too dig every "hit" when I'm detecting. Just the thought of hitting something usual, like a convertible. LOL

    I have a Whites Mxt tracker and a Garrett 1500. Since I've moved out here to west tx., cant hunt anywhere. All the land around here is lease land. :(

    I'm in the same boat Bobby. In my area you have to know the folks to get on the land. It's tough to find the actual owner. I logged a lot of ghost towns but the owners are just too hard to reach and want no one on the property.
    I did find one trick that works. I used to make friends with one old timer in the area and do him a few favors. He would help me become friends with the folks around him. It's a long term project to earn folks trust.

    That's what I always did, It's been a while but I would pull the target out and check the hole again. Many times there was a second target in the same hole giving me a weird reading.
