Today was a good day. Brian (Alegandron) and I got to meet up for lunch in Brandon, FL. He is working temporarily in the area, so we made arrangements to meet. It was a good time, and other than our various family medical issues, we discussed coins for nearly 3 hours. I took a couple of binders along and I finally had someone looking through my coins that actually enjoyed them and the history. Here we are outside the restaurant: Just look at dem skinny legs! To make this about coins I thought I post a coin with two portraits. One for each of us. If anyone wants to make a comparison between Brian and I and Claudius and Nero, I'm the simple minded one!!!!! NERO AR Drachm OBVERSE: NERO CLAVD DIVI CLAVD F CAESAR AVG GERM, laureate head of Nero right. Yeah, I do. Have for years. I will give a two-sided Republic that has some dignity! Had a wonderful time! He made the mistake of not bringing more of his binders, as well as his Marc Antony Legionaries!

That's cool you two got to meet, great pic tool Pretty much everyone is on the east coast or midwest.
It was big fun! JW brought a couple binders, and I could had spent 3 MORE hours going through them again, and yakkin' with him!
Sounds like a great time guys. I had the chance in this past summer to meet up with Jay. I hope to see more CTers in the future. Brian, that offer of dinner and beer is still open.
Man, someday I WILL be there, Andrew! I was a good boy today... just a burger and unsweet tea! But a beer would be great next time with JW, and definitely one of those Canadian beers with you!
That's great! I love to hear when some of us meet up in real life! I got the chance to grab dinner with Curtis (@Curtisimo) last September. Great conversation and coin oogling. I totally know what you mean about having someone looking at your coins in appreciation rather than confusion and boredom. Hopefully @Orange Julius and I will be connecting in person in the coming months as well. It looks like a great restaurant! Very fun vehicle memorabilia!
Glad to hear both of you had a good time. I hope that you will find many more interesting coins to discuss.
Very cool. It's fun to attach a face to a name. Hopefully I will meet up with some CTers at some point in the future.
