I know it’s not worth anything anymore but I just want to know what coin that was. Any help?

I can make out 1953, some Spanish, and the head of what appears to be a military type figure.

Cuba brass 1-Centavo, 1953, severely damaged. No value in that condition, except to drill a hole in it and use it as a washer.

I think is says "Centenario de Marti 1953" which is probably Cuba.
Here's a similar obverse, but the back is different. 973HWS-CUBACOIN1_ft_480x480.jpg

I suppose, then, the person on the coin is Batista.

It says "century of Marti" or something along those lines so it would be Jose Marti, who was involved in the liberation of Cuba from the Spanish.
