When i was a kid in the 80's i used to get mercury dimes in change once in a while. Unfortunately I had no idea what they were. I saved them, but i have no idea where they are now Last silver coin i got in change was 2 years ago at a McDonalds. I got a 1941 Washington quarter in change. The kid thought "Maybe it's aluminum or something" I prefer my circ finds over my uncircs. Which one had the better story? The one that spent it's life in a safe...or the one that was passed around during the great depression, two world wars and countless other events. Just today, i got a well-worn 1948 nickel. I wonder where it's been
Nice find! I know people who go through boxes of dimes and they rarely get mercury dimes. I have never even gotten a silver dime in change before! :goof:
