I found a 1926 Mercury Dime today that has a mint mark of "W". Looking at the red book, the only mint marks listed are "none", "S" and "D". Can anyone tell me why the 1926 W is not listed? :)

The "w" is the artists initial, Adolph A. Weinman. The mintmark is on the back to the bottom left of the torch..

Thank you, Zach. A second look reveals that the mint mark on my coin is an "S".

That's a semi-key date. It's too bad about the scratches.

That could be a Choice-Fine at about 15, but it was obviosly polished or cleaned...... It could still be worth in the $25-$35 range though!!
