I found a 1926 Mercury Dime today that has a mint mark of "W". Looking at the red book, the only mint marks listed are "none", "S" and "D". Can anyone tell me why the 1926 W is not listed?
The "w" is the artists initial, Adolph A. Weinman. The mintmark is on the back to the bottom left of the torch..
That could be a Choice-Fine at about 15, but it was obviosly polished or cleaned...... It could still be worth in the $25-$35 range though!!
I need help selling my coins. I have quite a collection, but I have never sold any. I many book collection of U.S. coins.
