Actually, I haven't read the auction terms or asked the seller for their policy. I'm assuming that the seller will provide a refund or credit. The seller opened the claim with Fed Ex & the seller is keeping me informed about this case resolution. Fed Ex only concluded that it is lost yesterday (Friday).

Yep. If/when Fed Ex delivers the coin I will update this thread & have a party.

It was really entertaining when Fed Ex originally called. The Fed Ex lady asked if I could describe the coin so she could tell the largest sorting facilities in the world what they were looking for. Take a good look at the coin & think about how you might describe the coin.

They were serious so I said it was an old silver coin about the size of a quarter & sent them the photo.

 

=> "priceless"

 

what i would like to hear is the fed ex lady trying to explain to some of the other employees what the coin looks like.

 

I know exactly what you mean. I keep desktopping Ancient Joe's coins and putting them as the wallpaper on my phone.... they never show up.

 

Maybe I'll try. Who knows........

Nice, I had a coin end up getting marked as lost and after several more weeks, it arrived 2 weeks ago. Sent the $ to the dealer and he sent it right back to me since he knows I am honest and regular. Paypal label said "consider it a gift". A $70 coin for free, cant complain.
