I got this from a coin shop in Japan.
It was 9000 Yen or about $90.
Of course, at that price it is probably
not real, but can anyone give me confirmation please.

    Is it even real silver???
What is the best way to tell?

    Thanks 20170616_220529.jpg 20170616_220539.jpg 20170616_220551.jpg 20170616_220651.jpg

A bit too much for a "replica". The overall look just looks modern. This was a cast coin so it should look more 'rough'.

An example is on offer for 1400 USD: http://www.coinvault.com/japan.htm

You mean I paid too much, correct?
And you are confirming you think the coin is not
    real, right???

Please compare examples that you can check online. The details are much sharper even though they are cast.

Thanks for your input. I already searched around before I posted. I found that same example you put a link to before I posted. I still do not feel I have a good assessment because I am not familiar with this type of exercise. I was hoping to get other people who are more experienced than I to comment and give their analysis so I can see what the general consensus it. Thanks you for assessment.
