For instance, the calculated daily calory intake for a medieval Surf was only 1400 to 1600 calories considered unsustainable these days. 90 % of their diet was vegetable and some of the statistics around the King descending on a Baron with his entourage were staggering such as the requirement for 30,000 chickens at Christmas time!
