Just found this among the stuff. I had it labeled Spain.
Is it real? What is it?
The lettering is pretty ambiguous to me.
    About 19 mm.

I don't see a lot of Medieval coins with churches on the reverse, but I did a search and there are quite a few of them, especially from Bishoprics. The front looks like a king rather than a bishop, though. I didn't see anything which looked like a close match to your coin yet. Here's one example of a vaguely similar church design.

Thanks guys, I will try to take a better look this evening. Looks like a star in the upper right reverse field. Another attempt at a picture.

Yes it's an interesting little coin. Really thin and curved just a reminds me of coins made with roller dies but I think this is too early for that method of manufacture...or not?
I welcome more info if anyone knows more about these.

I've got a hammered medieval pfennig from Köln, Germany that's small and thin and cup shaped almost.

"Alfonso King of Castile and León".

B for Burgos over the left tower.

Essentially the same as the VCoins piece linked above but nicer.

Thanks for the MM verification, I hadn't found anything on that.
This was just a random eBay purchase maybe 10 years ago.....looks like I did ok.
