I bought a few boxes of 4 for about $400. Looks like they are going for about $650 now, if I decide to sell for that.

"A few boxes of 4"? Are we talking about the same medal? I thought it had a limit of two per household?

It was 2 per mint mark per household but with him paying 400 a pop for a box of four those were aftermarket purchases

.....and these are medals rather than coins! That kind of value will only be sustained in a feeding frenzy. Once it has subsided, the price will fall. I feel sorry for the poor suckers who end up being hoodwinked into thinking that the aftermarket purchases are a great value.

I guess that ethics have little meaning, even here on CT, when it comes to the almighty dollar. Yeah, I know! Some of you will say that it has nothing to do with ethics. Maybe, you're right. Maybe, it's just pure greed, and these are the same people who welcome newcomers into the hobby because it is fun!

Nice coin. However, the larger size gives medals an advantage, even where the coin design is really nice like yours.

You said anyone that buys on the aftermarket is gonna get burned. Those were on the aftermarket, and I can currently flip them for a profit.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I should have said that anyone who buys them on the aftermarket and holds onto them will get burned.
