There wasn&#039;t enough elements to add the denomination &quot;ruble&quot; to the design and therefore had to use a different type of edging and silver fineness to differentate the differences. Obviously this confused all coin and medal collectors and even up to now, the debate continues. The mint actually didn&#039;t make it clear from day one what it was supposed to be, so you can call it whatever you like.
