Could this nickel possibly have the obverse showing through the reverse...?? If not, what else is wrong with it? It looks funny to me. So that is like a stamp that was a little harder on the coin than usual rite? If I’m wrong then I would like to be corrected.

Oldhoopster It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Not quite. It's a form of die deterioration

oh ok I collected some of these that have this die deterioration that makes the luster of the coin go weird

It's a ghosting effect so I'd kept it.

IDT. Indirect die transfer. My 54 S is weakly struck and you can see the "ghosting" of Jefferson on the reverse. This issue is known for strike weakness and a lack of full steps. Polish_20200811_220242062.jpg Polish_20200811_221011331.jpg
