SGS and FSG are not the same companies. As to where they are all coming from, welltere are no regulations so anyone who wants to can start his own grading service and the availablity of cheap slab shells from Coin World (and another supplier I don't know yet) have made it an inexpensive endevor. It used to be you had to have your own injection molding dies made to creat your shlls at a ost of $5,000+ per set of dies.

SGS has been around for close to three years now, FGS and ACC are both more recent with ACC being the older of the two by a couple months.

    nalavad

    hello again nalavad

It is a shame you feel the need to slander an Ebay seller when it was you that commited fraud. Paypal may have given you a refund but they also refunded my money as well. They found you to be less than honest. What comes around will go around. Carma is the best known paypack for dishonesty

As far as FSG goes this is not my company nor was the coin i sold you from them. It was an SGS graded coin which I am embarrased to say I used to sell.

It's nice to see my name in this forum because it has brought me much business after I proved to the buyers that these were all lies and I am an honest seller.
So for that , thank you!

    Slander is against the law

JTB Coins is in no way connected to SGS and for you to lie in a public forum like this is slander. You made a mistake so it's time to grow up and move on.

To all you wonderful people here that have been chatting about me.

Do you always believe eveything you hear?

I have been an honest seller for 2 plus years now with a 99.6% feedback rating that has made more than a few mistakes on Ebay. From selling SGS coins and believing they were graded correctly to using PCGS's price guide which lists washingtons for $7000 to lowering myself to the level of a spaceboy or nalavad. I should have just left my comments to myself and did as Ebay recommened: Block them from buying.

SGS or FSG have nothing at all to do with JTB Coins with the exception that I sell them. Well. I no longer sell SGS and I don't need to tell you why.

I do however sell FSG graded coins a lot because they are very inexpensive and the turn time is very fast. What are we coming to when a seller that uses one company should be accused of owning it.

Lastly, if you have ever looked at one of my auctions you will see two things.
    1. I show close ups of every coin
    2. I offer one of the best return policies on Ebay which I honor 100 % of the time.

My advise is to move the heck on and pick on someone who deserves it.

Why not sell coins that are from a reputable grading service?

Just curious... becase they are very inexpensive?... do you s'pose that has something to do with the fact that they are obnoxiously overgraded, and primarily purchased by new collectors who think they are getting a bargain, only to have their hopes dashed when they show them at a coin show, or their local dealer?

Tell me, what do you think of the new collectors that have that to claim as their first experience within numismatics?

You sold SGS for the same reasons - you were embarrassed about that, but didn't seem to learn your lesson... I just don't get it. There MUST be a valid reason why you went from one bottom feeder to another... I'm sure of it.

    Hello,

Are you kidding me? Cheap???? The first 6 times I have sent coins to be graded were 3 to pcgs and 3 to ngc. the average wait time was 29 days and they cost me $51 with shipping for 4 of them and $37 for the other two.
Does that sound like a good deal to you?
I completely disagree with you saying FSG is a bottom feeder. Aside from grading being very subjective FSG has graded coins a lot better than any other company with the exception of pcgs and ngc. If you have not seen a FSG coin then how can you tell me I'm selling a bad product.

One guy taking a coin to a show and them telling him its way over graded is, well, what a suprise. Give me the name of one dealer at a show that will say yup thats a nice coin. How much can I pay you for it. Come on MAN LETS BE REALISTIC.

Its a dog eat dog business and to put someone reputation on a deal to sell at a coin show is rediculas. Any person with common sence can see that.

If you have the name of a company that grades coins well and does it for $7 plus shipping and can get me the coin graded and back in less than 10 days I would very much like the name.

Thanks for the chat. You seam like a nice guy.

I am a very nice guy...

Grading is subjective, certianly... unfortunately that fact opens the door to people who go way too far, and lean back on 'hey, it's subjective'. So if I call it MS64 - and every other experienced coin collector calls it no better than EF - hey, it's subjective, right?

The question is not 'who am I kidding?'.

If it makes you feel better, I bet there's a thousand people out there that would slap some variance of MS on a coin for you for $3.50.

FSG's bottom-feederness must be a subjective thing, too.

I agree completly that its subjective but as a seller I would never sell a ms graded coin that i felt was an ef. I don't care if its from pcgs.

No it won't make me feel better to use those companies. I asked for one that has the great service, low cost and can accuratly grade a coin.

I tried to check the web site for the grading service (www.fsgcoingrading.com) and it did not really have any information except a couple of email addresses. Can you help me with some additional information on this grading service?

    Thanks.

    hey,

I just tried it and got the comming soon fsg blah blah blah. there was a link to sales and support on there.

so you looked at what i have for sale but did not comment?

It shouldn't make you feel better to use those companies, I agree. It is designed to make the buyer feel better, not the seller.

You say they provide great service, but I wonder... for who? You or the buyer?

Why not just sell them raw?

I completely agree with you. I would much prefer to sell them raw as thats what I do myself. I never just use the site unsean method even from ngc or pcgs.

the problem is a raw coin that i have a close up for sells on average 40% of the time. A graded one sells 83% of the time. its just a matter of business sence.

So you use a grading service to increase your sales... but you use a grading service that is not reputable...

and you don't see that as being at all... shifty?

I'm just asking questions here - I am in no way accusing you of being shifty. Just asking how you see it.
