I am chagrined that I didn’t take the time to examine that coin carefully - and no, you didn’t waste your time - I just re-read your page.
I'm sorry if my post came off as unkind. There is nothing wrong with making an error and we all do it but it bothered me that there were so many posts to that thread and not one person took J to task for the error. I don't know how many read it and noticed but it looks like Coin Talk is becoming a place we use to say 'Nice Coin' and nothing more. I thought we had something special here but what we have is a place where we need moderators to chase after people posting porn pictures and a place for those with no interest in the subject to ask what their fakes are worth. Is that what we want? If we don't read the posts (and I admit skipping the ones that seem copied from Wikipedia); if we don't help each other, maybe it is what we deserve.
dougsmit, I joined CoinTalk because it seemed like a great place to share knowledge & experiences with numismatics. I didn't think it was a university where students were graded on what the know or don't know. There's no problem in pointing out an oversight that members may have missed unless it's done in an arrogant manner. Spicing up a thread with a little humor now & then doesn't hurt things either.

While by no means as rare as a Quincunx, the post reform radiate (2/5 follis) of Carthage is less often seen than the larger follis. The fractions of the follis did not prove as necessary as I suspect Diocletian intended and the size of the follis shrank soon enough that I imagine more of these were taken out of circulation. This post reform radiate is Maximianus from Kyzikos and more often seen.
