And PCGS and NGC, while we're at it. I have a 42mm coin - does this fit in an ANACS holder? This would seem to be a common question but I can find nothing on their site. Their response time for general questions is usually pretty good, but nothing like here. Thanks to all.
@Atarian In addition to the oversized holder, NGC has also added a "supersized" holder. Both can be seen here with the specs...... https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-grading/holders/ Chris
They can probably accommodate a 42mm coin. I had a broadstruck Carr piece that was 1 or 2 mm larger than their stated maximum and they still slabbed it. You should call them
The diameter limitation is surprising. I know in the small holder days, they explicitly said they wouldn't do the Pan-Pac $50s (43.5 mm round, 46 mm octagonal), but figure they had overcome that limitation with the quick-release holder introduction over 10 years ago. PCGS and NGC don't have the same limitation for diameter with their normal holders.
I wouldn't. ANACS is notorious for charging a higher fee without informing the submitter if you don't follow their rules.
