The other option is that other Byzantine collectors missed the auction all together.&nbsp; I have been hunting for a lot of years for this one and was very happy to add it to my collection.</p><p><br /></p><p>I was fortunate as about two months laterI pick up a half follis of this type which in my opinion is much scarcer than the follis.&nbsp; It was struck with the Justinian follis dies both obverse and reverse, therefore, much of the legend is missing.</p><p><br /></p><p>The second piece is an early Carthage mint with a very special obverse face right with the chi-roh.&nbsp; Quite scarce.&nbsp; I just love the patina.</p><p><br /></p><p>The final is a follis of Maurice Tiberius with what I call the Alfred E.
