    These two Antioch folles have some interesting differences. The year 8 places the III above the U and has a lower case m while the 17 is normally laid out with an officina gamma under the large M and the numeral in proper order.

    Great stuff. Choice Byzantine bronzes are hard to find. I prefer those that were in everyday circulation, the coins people used in their daily comings and goings. Crysmat71, nice coins and thanks for the great photo's.

    Valiant Knight, nice Rome half follis, and I can't wait to see your Heraclius C and Martina Rome mint piece. I have two of those though are well worn. One I picked up many years ago with very heavy, hard, gray green patina. I'm still happy to have it.
