Just got back from the annual Massapequa Coin Club show and I picked up a few goodies, not the least of which was a Canada 25¢ 1886/7 (see the foreign coins folder for scans) for $165, also: 2 Canada 1966 dollars and a 1967 Canada dollar for $40 4 VF Morgans for $100 9 Charlton Catalogs from the 50s and 60s for $60 3 Roosie cameo proofs (68/69/71) for $1@ 1 1971 cameo proof quarter for a buck 1 1971 cameo proof half, again a buck Edited to add I got a VF+ Bouquet Sou for 5 bucks. I'll have to go thru my token catalogs to figure out which variety it is - there's about a gazillion! All-in-all, me very happy.
I'd like to commend the Massapequa Coin Club for putting on a great show, as usual. They deserve special recognition for their YN program which was taking place when I left. They had goody bags for all the kids and prizes for kids who knew answers to some basic questions based on the information given at the numismatic presentation. There were about 30 kids, mostly boys. Lots of Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in uniform were in attendance. Good job Massapequa Coin Club!
