Masonic Stamped 1916 d dime

    The OPs coin although close, show that the Mint mark is not in the same position. In fact, the OPs coin does not appear to have been struck by the same die.

    Probably a real 1916 Mercury Dime, but I think that the Mint mark was added.

    The mintmark is too low relative to the leaves. Compare it to the closeup pics I posted.

    That won’t really help since there are 4 different reverses.

    I'm trying to imagine some guy in his Denver basement, with a couple of uncirculated 1916d rolls, creating mementos for his lodge brothers.

    Seriously, though...there are so many Chinese fakes and the mint mark position is questionable. I wouldn't be surprised to see a fake defaced to make it appear more original.
