Mask and gloves

I suppose I should be using gloves regardless of any disease concerns, but now I have been more careful about gloves when sorting "hand-rolled" rolls. Probably the "machine-rolled" are not any less germy. But now I have started wearing a simple dust mask. Not because I am worried about inhaling viruses (virtually impossible) but because I always have an itchy nose, itchy eye or just like to touch my face for no reason. The mask is my reminder to not touch my face. It works for me.

Do you recommend the dishwasher for that?

Lick each coin. Gain immunity. Never die.

Do what I do. Buy the rolls of coins and let them set as is for a month. Any virus or disease will die in that time and then you can search them. Wash your hands throughly before and after searching.

I literally had a customer that put some hand sanitizer on her supposed sanitized gloves yesterday. What a sales pitch that was!

My wife is making our masks, here's the first prototype, it's a bit too big.
    The rest are looking perfect.

Here we go, my wife is getting good at the mask thing. She's cooped up, and like the rest of us, she needs something to do.

I have my own 2-day mask now. Wear one side then flip for the next day.

    Here's the Obverse:

    Now the Reverse:

For those interested, she uses hair ties/bands or something for the ear straps.

The Broncos were a big hit at the liquor store

I do not think I would flip the mask, as viruses ( if any) blocked from coming in, would be at the entry areas after the flip. I saw one old couple at the store who looked like they fashioned their masks from an old bra

Yeah, just kidding, I'll wash it before I go to the Broncos game on Sunday.

By flipping the mask you are exposing yourself to disease as it comes in direct contact with you. This virus can live for days on some surfaces. Washing does not kill all of the germs.

Like I said, I was only kidding about flipping it.
She is also making the type that have the inserts.

The later pics look great. This one made me chuckle. It looks like a bra cut in half! :)

She has made about 100 so far. 26 went to a health care service in Phoenix AZ. Despite all the people making them, the health care workers are still short.

I worked for 3M and the story there was that 3M was trying to make felted (non-woven) bra cups and some of the workers were clowning around by putting them on over their noses and holding them in place with rubber bands...

In 6 months, fewer have died from the coronavirus worldwide than perished in 20 minutes after the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004. That said, in addition to the gloves and mask, it's important to have a kayak strapped to the roof of the car at all times! You know...Just in case.

Did they give you one or do you have to bring your own?
