Maryland 2000P SQ Die Clash

    Nice pictures..

    But if it is a Die clash it is to faint. Errors have to be appealing to the eye in order to be desirable IMHO.

    That's why I asked, actually! I was feeling the same way. The only thing that really strikes is the dome. The rest feels just like confirmation.

    I don't think it's a clash. Just stray marks on a coin loaded with them. The highest points on the coin are the lowest parts of the die. How would the building show up on Washington's head (both recessed into the die) yet the marks in the field are questionable at best and there is no significant evidence of die polish marks in the field (low places in the dies where they would actually come in contact)
