Marti Classical Numismatics and patinas

    I have purchased a number of coins from Marti and have never been disappointed. I find them to be a very reliable company. It is true that often one can identify the company by the photos. I am not a good photographer, so I couldn't offer an explanation, but if you look at a number of coin companies, one can observe this phenomenon. I imagine it is their technique. Anyway , I would recommend Marti.

    Here's another VCoins dealer whose coins all seem to have the same, light, sandy patina. Notice in particular the Gordian III antoninianus. I've never seen an antoninianus with a patina like this before:
