Been having great time these past 2 days coin roll hunting and researching, as it has been frigid outside. I came across a coin with a mark under the 3. Tried to take close ups, but the pictures aren't too clear. It's not a scratch its different. What do you think?
Zincolns are notorious for all sorts of problems from the electrostatically thin copper plating on the top. barely thick enough for a stamping process. Then all that there can be multiple sorts of problems when the copper gets stretched. people see all sorts of things on zincolns. are you pointing out what looks like a plating blister at the lower bottom most tip of the 3?
There are a thousand marks on that coin. Why did the one under the 3 interest you? It looks like all the other ones.
