    Back in the Eighty's I made this, I found it 2 weeks ago and it has sparked a desire to collect the MA Legionary Denarius, Very impressed with @Bing colection. IMG_20240727_132026664.jpg

    The rampant introduction of fakes to the series, along with fairly high prices, has pretty much scared me off the series.

    I have an unphotographed and typically decrepit (slick) example, purchased in the 1990's.

    I hope my c. 2011 one is ok.

Praetorian ship right, with scepter tied with fillet on prow; above, ANT AVG; below, III. VIR. R.P.C. Reverse - Aquila (eagle) between two standards; around, LEG XVII CLASSICAE. RCV 1481, 16mm, 3.4g.
