Yea but what great coins they are! See Bing, I have learned that you have to give the appearance of not buying coins, stretch'em out so it only appears like you bought only one coin. My wife knows about the First Meris Tet, but the other two coins well...thats our secret. Now in the even I am captured, I can hide one of the coins in the shadow of the other. One is huge the other is well not so huge, still only giving the appearance of two coins. This does not count the other bids and deals I have on the table. Shhhh...I have backed off buying coins for a little while, I started being asked, "Why do you want the mail so bad"? Then she went as far as to ask me if I had "a thing" for the mail man, as I come home from work during lunch and spend a half hour talking to him at the top of the street. I explained to her I don't have a thing for him, but I do want to see what Kind of Package he's got. :hail:

Yah, I go home at lunch to grab the mail as well ... I tell my wife it's to let our poor dogs out for a ****, but she is not a slow chick, so she jokingly bugs me about intercepting my coins ...

... but the clincher occurred when she had the day off and happened to talk with our mail-lady ... apparently our mail-lady has zero stealth-skilz and stated:

=> "wow, your husband sure gets a lot of packages, eh?"

Man, don't they teach that faux-pas in Mail 101 ... epic mail-lady fail

Happened to me too last fall. Wife found out how much I spent for my Claudius II medallion which happens to be my avatar in this site. Dinner & compliments are an obvious distraction and wives won't fall for that. I was coming down with a cold too. It was a horrible evening punctuated by promises to return, not pay for, or resell my Claudius II, none of which happened.

I think we're finally over it as it happened back around September of 2012.

It's been three weeks since she found out, and, at this point, she doesn't trust what I say to her. I have some Easter candy hidden I bought for her, but last night when she started to go into the drawer where I have it hidden and I stopped her, the suspicions began anew. I suppose she has every right since I was hiding it from her. I don't think I would like her hiding things from me. But on the other hand, she would never give me the go-ahead if I asked in advance of buying. I remember an old saying from when I was in the service: better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Hey at the end of the day, it could be worse, you could be into drugs, booze and prostitutes....

Your quote reminds me of a coin I once saw, it said, something to the effect of, "Millions for defense, not one cent for tribute."
