When I got there this afternoon I went inside to ask the cashier for $5 in quarters for the wash. The woman in line in front of me apparently was desperate for some smokes and she paid for them with a pocket full of change that included the "Ike". I asked the cashier if I could buy the Ike and he gladly traded it to me for a bill, he said that half dollar and dollar coinage is a pain in the butt when cashing out the register. I then asked for the $5 in quarters for the wash and proceeded to the wash to clean up the car. I noticed the W mintmark as I was feeding the machine and promptly put it in my pocket. The proof was pretty smudged so I soaked it in some acetone and gently wiped it with a soft cloth. It isn't half bad for coming out of change!
