Republic of Malawi - is African country. It was British colony until July 6 1964. Malawi is not very big state. It has an area 118494 sq.km. and population about 16800000. Pound of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was the currency of Malawi until November 16 1964. After that date the currency of Malawi was pound of Malawi (1 pound = 20 shillings = 240 pence). And since 1971 they use kwacha (1 kwacha = 100 tambala).
