Oh I&#039;ve known hundreds, even thousands of them - but they were always long distance friends or people I only saw once or twice a year at shows. And when we would see each other - it was great ! Perhaps that makes it even better, I don&#039;t know. But I&#039;ve never been much of one for the organized local coin club - it just doesn&#039;t fit my style or schedule, never has. I much prefer this type of venue where I can come and go as I please and yet still share with my love for the hobby with many, many others.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ve made some very close friends in this hobby via the internet. Quite a few of them I have managed to meet in person with them or myself traveling long distances for the express purpose of doing so. Those friends will stay with me for life and I always look forward to seeing them again. But if I saw them every day, I dunno, maybe it wouldn&#039;t be the same.</p><p><br /></p><p>So to me, it&#039;s kind of like what you collect - you have to find your niche, what suits you personally. And for me it&#039;s the internet - it just works and I am quite happy with it. For you or others - maybe it won&#039;t.
