    Sorry guys, had to make the title more interesting then
    "is this a wide or close am"

    (spoken in a Ben Stein voice in my head :) Bueller.....Bueller?)

    BUT THIS COIN IS A REAL HOUDINI! Can someone pleasseeee tell me whether it's close or wide?

    The 98s & 99s proofs with close am are the winners I believe but yours is a wide am. With close am's the bottoms of the A&M are almost touching
